How to Add a Stop via Package Scanning

This article addresses how to add a stop from the Driver App by scanning a package with your tablet or mobile device.

Scanning works with 2D barcodes ONLY. The 1D barcode does not contain enough of the package information to create the stop.

Add a Stop via Package Scanning

To add a stop via Package Scanning:

  1. Log in to the GroundCloud App.

  2. Click on the Manifest tab from the side menu.

  3. Click the barcode icon in the upper right corner to bring up the Camera for your device. If you have used the Camera with the GroundCloud app for the first time, you may be prompted to allow camera access.

  4. Point the camera at the barcode of the package you want to scan.

  5. Try covering up the 1D barcode with your hand to ensure the app reads the 2D barcode correctly. You are prompted to add the stop to the day's manifest.

  6. If it looks good to go, click Quick Add Stop to add it to the manifest and route navigation.

  7. Edit Stop Details brings up the stop details of the package scanned. Here you can edit the stop, put in stop notes, add a SID or add an alternate location.

  8. Once the stop details are set, click Save in the upper right to add the new stop. The new stop is confirmed at the top of the Manifest page.

Note: Quick Add Stop adds the stop to the manifest with the details shown on the popup.
