Vehicles


The Vehicles page in GroundCloud.io lists all vehicles in your fleet.


Vehicles can be filtered by the following criteria:

  1. Active Status can be adjusted from the Vehicle Details page. By default, only active vehicles are shown.

  2. Contract filtering allows you to view only the vehicles associated with a selected contract.

  3. Vehicle Type can be assigned in the Vehicle Details page or when creating a new vehicle.


Adding a Vehicle

  1. Log into GroundCloud.io.

  2. Go to the Vehicles tab under Fleet Management.

  3. Click + Add Vehicle in the upper-right corner.

  4. Enter the vehicle details.

  5. Click Save to create the vehicle.


Vehicle Information Fields

  • Vehicle ID is a unique identifier for the vehicle.

  • Nickname is an optional name for easier identification.

  • Vehicle Type specifies the category of the vehicle, such as Box Truck or Step Van.

  • VIN is the 17-character Vehicle Identification Number.

  • Year refers to the model year of the vehicle.

  • Make refers to the vehicle brand.

  • Model specifies the type of vehicle within the brand.

  • State refers to the state in which the vehicle is registered.

  • Plate is the license plate number of the vehicle.

  • Notes allow for additional comments or useful details about the vehicle.

  • Contract ID associates the vehicle with a specific contract.

  • Contracted Service Type determines whether the vehicle is used for P&D or Line Haul.

  • Domicile or Primary Station is the terminal where the vehicle operates.

  • Maintenance Terminal specifies the terminal used for vehicle maintenance.

  • Cargo Capacity is recorded in cubic feet or length.

  • Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) represents the maximum safe total weight of the vehicle.

  • Unladen Weight indicates the weight of the vehicle when empty.

  • Fuel Type specifies the fuel used by the vehicle.

  • Borrowed Vehicle must be marked if the vehicle is borrowed, along with the expected return date.


Managing Vehicle Details

  1. Click the Vehicle ID to open the Vehicle Details page.

  2. Click Edit to modify the vehicle’s information.

  3. Use the dropdown menu to activate or deactivate the vehicle.


Active and Inactive Vehicles

  1. Active Vehicles are shown by default on the Vehicles page.

  2. Inactive Vehicles can be displayed by adjusting the filter in the dropdown menu.

  2. Vehicle Reminders
