GroundCloud Optimization and GroundCloud Shelf Zones optimize route sequences to ensure the total route time for each driver is the shortest possible.
Total route time is composed of the total time the driver spends driving between stops and the total time they spend delivering and picking up packages.
In this context, Service Time is the amount of time it takes for a driver to deliver or pick up a package.
GroundCloud uses default values for service times for pickups and deliveries.
The default values for deliveries and pickups are 120 seconds and 180 seconds, respectively.
It is possible to modify these values better to align them with the realities of your business if the default values are not a good estimate.
Delivery base service time is the amount of time it takes to deliver a single package. You can add a per-package additional delivery service time if you would like to increase the service time for multiple packages to be delivered.
Pickup service time refers to the duration required to service a pickup stop.
