When logging in to the GroundCloud Driver App, drivers can view their schedule and adjust settings prior to starting their shift. Route information, Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports and safety coaching are accessible when a driver selects that they are ready to start their day.

Note: iOS app version 1.4.19.961 or Android version 1.3.5.1 is needed to see the Pre-Work Mode features. Check the app version.

Enable Pre-Work Mode

Pre-Work Mode is enabled from the Settings page of the GroundCloud Management portal.

Select Driver apps should start in pre-work mode. This selection allows drivers to see these pages prior to starting their work day:

Dashboard (No route information)
Schedule
Notifications
Settings
Messages

Click Submit at the bottom of the page to save changes.

Show Route Information

Pre-Work Mode has an option to allow drivers to view their route information prior to starting their work day.

Select Driver apps in pre-work mode can see route data. This setting populates the Dashboard page, giving access to:

Dashboard (With route information)
Schedule
Notifications
Settings
Messages

Click Submit to save changes.

Enable Pre-Work Mode Geofence

Pre-Work Mode includes an option to prevent drivers from starting work outside the terminal's geofence. This ensures that drivers begin their shifts within the designated terminal area, helping maintain compliance and operational accuracy.

Steps to Enable the Pre-Work Mode Geofence:

Navigate to the Driver App Settings in the system configuration menu.
Locate the "Driver apps in pre-work mode cannot start work outside the geofence" option.
Select the checkbox to enable this restriction.
Click Submit to save the changes.

What Happens After Enabling This Setting?

When a driver attempts to Start Work in the app outside the terminal's geofence, they will receive a warning message.
The warning will notify the driver that they must be within the terminal's geofence to clock in.

Notes:
- This setting only works if the "Driver apps should start in Pre-Work Mode" option is also enabled.
- This restriction applies to all terminals listed under the Contact & Terminals tab.
