The Dispatch function is a feature that benefits you by being able to serve as a break from the FedEx® data feed so that you can move and/or delete stops without having to do so on the scanner.
Before using the Dispatch feature, read about how to sync your GroundCloud account with FCC and enable Automatic Manifest Uploading.
How to Dispatch Routes
Log in to GroundCloud.io.
Go to the Routes tab. Wait 5–10 minutes after the sort is completed before Dispatching to ensure all stop data has been made available in FCC.
Check the box next to Work Area Name at the top in order to select all enabled routes.
Hit Go to begin dispatch. Once you do this, you will receive a confirmation prompt.
Click Confirm.
If there are individual routes you need to dispatch, you can select them individually on the Routes page.
AMU Preview
Another feature we have is the Refresh AMU Preview button. You can refresh a route before dispatching, and it will show additional stops as they come through the system. This feature is useful when you want to refresh your route, but are not ready to dispatch just yet.
The AMU Preview button is available only during active AMU link activity. Once you dispatch a route, that AMU Preview button becomes hidden. The AMU Preview button will re-appear the following day with active AMU linked routes.
You can dispatch as often as you need, but please be aware that doing it repeatedly can slow down the process.
Once you’ve dispatched your routes, you can always compare the number of packages and stops on your Overview page with the scanner/stop data—you have to see if they match. Be aware that there can be delays in FCC manifest data. If stops are missing from your AMU upload, see here for workarounds.
