Driver Scorecards

Driver Scorecards are located in the VEDR section of the GroundCloud.io management portal. These scorecards help managers track driver performance, promote safer driving habits, and reward high-performing drivers.

How Scorecards Work

Scorecards rank drivers based on the number of VEDR events per mile driven. Events that negatively impact a driver’s score include:

  • Seat belt violations

  • Distracted driving

  • Speeding

  • G-force shocks

Scorecards operate on a monthly cycle, storing historical data for long-term performance tracking.

Viewing Individual Driver Scores

  1. Navigate to the VEDR section in GroundCloud.io.

  2. Click on a driver’s name to view their detailed event breakdown.

How Scores Are Calculated

  1. The total number of VEDR events is divided by total miles driven.

  2. The result is subtracted from 100% to determine the driver’s final score.

Example Calculation

  • A driver has 15 recorded events and 3,917 miles driven.

  • Score formula:
    -15 ÷ 3,917 = -0.38%

  • Final Score:
    100% - 0.38% = 99.62%
