Switching Account Owner

In order to transfer ownership of your GroundCloud account, you need to:

  1. Log in to your portal with the current owner account.

  2. Update payment information.

  3. Transfer ownership.

  4. Update company information.

  5. Link AMU.

Update Payment Information

If you do not have the new owner's payment information available, the new owner can provide that information at a later time. Please ensure payment information is accurate prior to the next billing cycle to avoid discrepancies.

  1. Go to the Billing page in your portal.

  2. In the upper right of the Billing page, click the Update Credit Card button to display the page where you can update the payment method.

  3. Once you enter the new information, be sure to click Submit to save your changes. The updated information will be used in the next billing cycle.

Transfer Ownership

Go to the Fleet Managers page on your portal. The owner is marked by a blue icon (non-owner managers will have a black icon). Ensure that the account you are presently logged in to is displayed as the current owner on this list.

In order to transfer ownership, the new owner needs a manager's account. If the new owner already has a manager's account, that can be turned into the owner's account. Tip: If the new owner doesn't have a manager's account, click +Add Manager in the upper right to create a new account for them.

  1. Click on the name of the manager in this list that you would like to make the new owner display their manager account profile.

  2. At the bottom of their page, you see the above option to transfer ownership.

  3. Click Transfer and the selected manager account becomes the owner's account.

  4. Owner accounts maintain all the functionality of manager accounts, with a few extra permissions, such as transferring ownership to another user.

  5. If the old owner no longer needs access to this account, click into their manager account.

  6. In the upper right, click Delete to remove the non-owner manager account.

Update Information

  1. Go to your Contact & Terminals page on your portal. Ensure that the information matches the new account owner.

  2. Click on the Edit Details button.

  3. Adjust the company information as needed.

Link AMU

The final step is to ensure the company remains linked for Automated Manifest Uploading. The account that is linked should be one that retains access to the company manifests on FCC. Follow this link for step-by-step instructions on how to link an account: Automated Manifest Uploading (AMU)
