Map Features
Leave notes, mark locations and store important information directly on your map — visible to your entire team.
What Are Map Features?
Map Features let you attach useful information to specific places on your map. Drivers and dispatchers can quickly spot and act on anything from gate codes to apartment building layouts — without needing to call the office or dig through notes.
Two types of map features are available: map markers and subzones.
Map Markers
Map markers are pins tied to a single location. When adding a marker, you select a category that determines the icon displayed on the map, allowing drivers to quickly identify the type of information being shown.
Adding a Map Marker
Open the Map Features page from the main navigation.
Search for an address or click Add Marker to drop the pin at a specific spot.
Choose a category — Note, Gate Code, Parking, Bathroom or Reminder.
Fill in the label, add any details and click Save. The marker appears on the map immediately.
Marker Categories
Five categories are available for use.
🗒️ Note
Free-text information about a location. Good for general observations like "similar addresses in this area."
🔑 Gate Code
An entry code for a gated community or building. Drivers can pull this up on their mobile device before they arrive.
🅿️ Parking
A recommended parking spot so drivers don't waste time circling. Especially useful for dense apartment complexes or downtown areas.
🚻 Bathroom
A restroom location along a route — a simple quality-of-life marker for long delivery days.
❌ Reminder
A general alert at a location that doesn't fit another category — for example, "watch out for mosquitos" or "road gets muddy after rain."
Subzones
Subzones are geographic regions drawn as polygons on the map. Unlike markers, a subzone covers an area rather than a single point — making them useful for labeling neighborhoods, service boundaries or any zone where the boundary itself matters.
Adding a Subzone
Open the Map Features page.
Search for an address in the search bar to navigate to the right area of the map.
Use the polygon drawing tool to click out the boundary of your subzone — click once per corner, then close the shape.
Give the subzone a name/label and then save.
Viewing and Editing Features
Click any feature in the left-hand list or tap its icon on the map to open its details.
Review the category, label and notes.
Click the edit icon to update any details or reposition the marker.
Save — the changes take effect immediately for all users.
