Announcements allow you to send important information and videos to your entire fleet or individual drivers. They are delivered to the GroundCloud Driver app and can be viewed on a personal device or company tablet.

Note: Announcements are a GroundCloud Pro feature.

Creating an Announcement

Announcements can be created from the Announcements page of the GroundCloud portal.

1. Select Announcements from the left sidebar.

2. Click Add Announcement.
   
   
   

3. Enter a title for your announcement in the Announcement Title field; this is required.
   
   
   

4. Include a message in the Announcement Body field; this is required. (5000 character count maximum).

5. Attach a video (200MB or less) in the Announcement Video field; this is optional. The video format is currently limited to MP4 or MOV.

6. Click Save and preview your announcement.

7. If it looks good, and you’re ready to send, select specific drivers from the Select Drivers dropdown or turn on the Send to all Drivers toggle and click Publish. ​You must have at least one driver selected before the Publish button is active.

8. If you would like drivers to receive an SMS notification in addition to the message being sent to their Driver App, enable the Send SMS toggle.

9. If you need to make edits, click Edit. Or if you need to wait to send it, click Close.

Tip: A closed announcement is saved as "Unpublished". It can be edited or published later.

Announcements appear as a popup in the driver app.

Drivers can also view Announcements by clicking on the envelope icon at the top right of the dashboard.

View Past Announcements

Past announcements are listed on the Announcements page. You can see:

• How many drivers have viewed an announcement in the Drivers column

• When the announcement was created in the Created column

• Whether the announcement has been sent in the Published column.

Created Announcements can be viewed by clicking the View icon in the Actions column.

• Announcements that have been published are view-only; they may not be edited.

• Announcements that are unpublished can be edited by clicking Edit and following the steps listed above.

You can also use toggles to search by announcement title, filter by created date or hide/unhide announcements based on publication status.
