Mobile Device Management (MDM)

GroundCloud provides Mobile Device Management (MDM) enrollment, allowing remote updates and administrative control over tablets.

Checking MDM Enrollment

To confirm if your iPad is enrolled in MDM:

  1. Power on the device.

  2. Open Settings.

  3. Check the top-left corner: If it states, "This device is supervised and managed by Windigo Logistics," the device is enrolled in MDM.

Newly enrolled devices are automatically added to the new MDM server, while previously enrolled devices are transitioned. If your device is enrolled in the new MDM, the Manage Engine (ME MDM) application will be installed.

Locking Tablets for Driver Use

MDM enrollment enables tablets to be locked, restricting access to only approved applications. By default, this includes:

  • GroundCloud app

  • Mapping applications

  • Additional apps, as requested

Locking is optional—devices can be locked/unlocked remotely once enrolled.

Updating Applications

  • Apps are updated remotely across all enrolled devices.

  • Automatic updates are pushed to the entire fleet.

  • Additional applications can be installed on all tablets simultaneously.

Lost Mode & Device Tracking

If a tablet is lost, MDM can:

  • Activate Lost Mode, locking the device.

  • Send GPS coordinates of its location.

  • Display a custom message on the screen.

Fleet-Wide Tablet Updates

MDM allows remote commands to update all devices at once.
