Backup Solutions During FedEx® FCC Outages
Creating a Blank Route Day
Blank Route Days activate unused routes, allowing them to be assigned to a driver even if no manifest is available for that day.
Log into GroundCloud.io.
Go to the Routes page.
Select an existing unused route. If the route does not exist, create one manually.
Click Create Route Day in the upper-right corner.
A notification will confirm activation.
The route is now active for the day, and a driver can be assigned. Stops can also be added manually.
Adding Stops Manually
Stops can be added from the GroundCloud.io manager portal or the GroundCloud® Driver App.
Adding Stops in the Manager Portal
Log into GroundCloud.io.
Navigate to the Routes page.
Select the route and manually add stops.
Adding Stops in the Driver App
Scan from the Manifest page.
Create stops from the MyDrive page.
Each method creates individual stops on the route.
Uploading a No Van Scan (NVS) Report
The P&D manager can upload an NVS report to create routes for the day. Stops can then be scanned and entered manually.
Locating the NVS Report in the FedEx® System
A FedEx® employee (Admin, P&D manager) logs into the FedEx® system.
Navigate to Business Objects.
Open the Vision Folder.
Select Preload Scanning.
Locate the file titled .SS Inbound Scans with NO Van Scan.rpt (Do not modify this file, or the upload will fail).
Avoid similar reports like 7 Day or During Sort, as they are incorrect.
Uploading the NVS Report
The P&D manager emails the NVS report to the address listed in the Contact & Terminals page of the GroundCloud® portal.
This email address is specific to your company and terminal.
Wait a few minutes, then check if the file has been processed on the Manifests page.
The system will generate routes based on the uploaded file and post any NVS stops.
Verify the added stops in the Routes page of the portal or the Manifest page of the GroundCloud® Driver App.
GroundCloud® provides these backup solutions to keep operations running smoothly during FedEx® FCC outages.
