In some cases, you may need to pull the VEDR unit's SD card to view the footage directly. In the event of a collision or damage to the camera, we suggest pulling out the SD card so the footage can be viewed using the SD Viewer program by following these steps.
To pull the SD card:
Power down the device. After the vehicle is turned off, the VEDR unit remains powered on for about 15–20 minutes.
Once the VEDR unit has powered down (all lights off), use the key that came with the unit to open the side panel.
Press the SD card to pop it out for removal.
Once the SD card is removed, bring it to a Windows computer that has an SD card port or attachment.
Download and install the SD Viewer. SD Viewer is currently only compatible with Windows.
Open the SD Card Viewer application and insert the SD card into the computer.
Select the SD card icon in the upper left.
In the popup, select the SD card you inserted and click Open SD-Card. You can now access footage stored on that SD Card.
The footage is date and time-stamped.Select the increment to view on the right, and the footage from that time populates. You can also filter to the Events tab to see only footage that has been marked as an event.
Click the Settings icon to display the Settings window.
Here, you should adjust the time zone. Cameras may not be set to your time zone by default.Adjust the time zone to match your PC.
When done, click OK. The footage time stamps are now listed relative to your computer's time zone.
Search through the footage on the right. (Selecting a recording will show the footage from all cameras during that time frame.)
Save the footage to your computer by clicking the Save MP4 Video button to display a popup.
In the popup, confirm which footage you are downloading.
Select which camera footage you want to download (Camera 1, Camera 2 and any other installed devices).
By default, footage is saved to the VIDEO folder of the SD Viewer. You can save the files here or create a new folder by clicking the browse button ('...').
When done, click Start and the footage is downloaded to the folder you selected. The file name defaults as a date/time stamp, but you can rename it as needed.
