Purpose
The Driver Details page provides operational tools for managing drivers throughout the workday. Use this page to assign routes, communicate with drivers, view driver location information, and monitor driver performance.
Access the Driver Details Page
The Driver Details page can be accessed from several areas within GroundCloud.
To open a driver's profile:
Navigate to Drivers, Routes, or Overview.
Select the driver's name.
The Driver Details page opens and displays information and actions related to the selected driver.
Assign a Driver to a Route
Drivers can be assigned to a route directly from the Driver Details page.
To assign a driver to a route:
Open the Driver Details page.
Click Assign Route in the upper-right corner of the page.
Select a Route.
Click Proceed.
The selected route is assigned to the driver.
Review Question: What is the purpose of the Update driver for current day checkbox? Confirm when it should be selected and what effect it has on route assignment.
Send a Message to a Driver
Messages can be sent to drivers from the Driver Details page and are delivered to the GroundCloud Driver App.
To send a message:
Open the Driver Details page.
Click the dropdown menu in the upper-right corner.
Select Send Message.
Enter the message.
Click Send.
Note: If you want the driver to receive a text or email notification informing them that you have sent a message, ensure a valid phone number and email address have been added to the driver's profile.
View Driver Location
The Map section displays the driver's location and sign-in status.
A red badge with the driver's initials indicates the driver is currently signed in to the GroundCloud Driver App and actively sharing location information.
A gray badge with the driver's initials indicates the driver is offline. In this case, the map displays the driver's last known location.
View Driver Statistics
The Stats section provides operational performance information for individual drivers.
Available statistics may include:
