Subzones™ are a powerful mapping tool that allows you to plot areas on your map to convey a wide variety of information. In this article, we will go over how to create Subzones and some use cases.
GroundCloud is happy to assist with SubZone creation, and we will offer to build one (1) detailed SubZone daily.
Creating a Subzone
Log in to GroundCloud.io.
Navigate to the Subzones page. This page has all created Subzones on the left of the map.
To create a new Subzone, type your desired address into the address bar at the top of the page.
The entered address is shown with a blue dot on the map.
Click the blue dot and then Add Feature to add a new Feature (box) to this address.

Your mouse cursor will turn into a cross, allowing you to click to draw a four-point shape.

Click Add Label to add any notes (e.g., Gate Code is 1234).
Press Enter to save this feature once the desired name is in the popup.

Subzones and features do not affect navigation. They serve as reminders and directions for drivers but do not change how they are routed.
Subzones only appear on a driver's map if their assigned route includes stops within the subzone or close to it.
Existing features can be adjusted or deleted. Left-click into a feature's area. Dots appear on their corners, and you can drag them into place. Right-click in a feature's area for a delete option.
Entire Subzones can be deleted by clicking the trash can icon next to their name in your list of Subzones (left side of the map).
Subzones can be labeled on the left side of the map by clicking on the name to edit.
You can add up to 100 Features to each stop.
